A stately lady with secrets

What can I say about Izzy. I suppose most stately things have a story. A history that only a select few, a trusted few, are allowed to know. Well, she was a challenge in most every way for one thing. That barrel top of hers wasn’t easy. Its heavier than expected (hence the ribbon support). She also had to have her threads all neatly trimmed prior to application. Her skin is thin. Her insides were meant to be velvet; but, all those attempts went wrong in one way or another. Clearly she wanted mirror to reflect her loveliness. She made me work for it, though. It’s imitation mirror because I broke or chipped every piece of the real thing as I cut these narrow strips for this demanding lady. Its not vanity. Oh, no. Call her proud, if you must; but, never vain.
